Intelligent training and bespoke nutritional program design is the key to unlocking your potential. I spent many years from my late teens to my early twenties trying to achieve my ideal physique. I purchased every supplement and tried every training program to no avail. I should have invested in a good coach with real world experience to help me navigate this fad-trapped mess.
Working with people of all ages and abilities to improve their everyday performance and long-term health is my passion.
I love my work and I continue to further my education with the goal of bringing my clients the most up to date and relevant information. The science on exercise and nutrition is STRONG.

“I started training with John May 2013 as I wanted to get in shape for Vegas the following month. I had always tried to look after myself with going to the gym and swimming but training with John really opened my eyes. Before John I can honestly say I would never picture myself squatting with a bar on my back or deadlifts let alone reaching some of the weights that I have, I guess I never really thought it was for girls!
For 6 weeks I worked on building my strength with John and eating the right food and I saw big changes in my shape and this was doing minimal cardio but trust me you get just as sweaty and results by doing weights and strength. Diet is key; John changed the way I look at food. Don’t get me wrong I still love a cheat day but thanks to John I now live a much healthier way of life.”
How do you stay in shape?
I love barbell strength training. I currently follow a 4 day per week powerlifting program. The frequency and volume of this training is sufficient to keep me fit, strong and healthy year round. How much food I eat dictates my body composition.
